Interpreting

Simultaneous interpreting
Consecutive interpreting
Liaison interpreting

Are you planning an event with international participants in a small or large setting, involving several languages?

I would be pleased to advise you on the type of interpreting that is suitable for your occasion:

Simultaneous interpreting

During simultaneous interpreting, the interpreter sits in a soundproof booth and speaks at the same time as the speaker. Listeners hear the interpretation via headphones, and can follow the event in real-time. Simultaneous interpreters always work in a team of at least two.

Consecutive interpreting

For consecutive interpreting the interpreter speaks after the speaker has spoken, without the use of any special equipment. This type of interpreting requires around twice as much time as simultaneous interpreting. It is used mainly for official occasions such as addresses or dinner speeches, and usually only for one language combination.

Liaison interpreting

For liaison interpreting the interpreter interprets a conversation segment-by-segment in both language directions. No special equipment is required.
